Free Plan Guide
The Free plan is $0 per month, with no time limit and no credit card. It is not a trial — nothing expires, and a working club is never demoted. Run your bookings on it for as long as it fits, and upgrade when you hit a limit that matters.
What's Included
✅ Unlimited members, bookings, and invites
Members are never metered — on any tier. Add your whole roster on day one. Directory rows cost nothing to hold, and the roster is the reason a club stays.
✅ One location with one booking sheet
A location is a place; a sheet is the schedule members book against it — a golf course, a court complex, or a pool deck. Free gives you one of each. Resources within that sheet (individual courts, bays, or lanes) are unlimited.
✅ Member self-booking
Members sign in and book their own tee times or courts. There's no online payment step on Free — collect any fees at the desk.
✅ Events and outings with sign-up lists
Run tournaments, mixers, and clinics with sign-up lists. Charging for them requires Club.
✅ One staff login
The account that created the club. Additional staff seats start at Club.

What's Not Included
❌ Online payments
Card payments and payouts start at Club. On Free, members book without paying online.
❌ Public booking
On Free and Club, members sign in to book. Letting anyone book without an account — the public-course model — starts at Pro.
❌ More than one booking sheet
Free covers a single sheet. A second one — a court complex alongside your course, say — starts at Club.
❌ Additional staff logins
Free is a single seat. Club adds up to 5; Pro is unlimited.
❌ Custom branding and your own URL
Papel branding appears on member-facing pages, and your club keeps the URL generated for it at signup (your-club-name-a1b2.clubpapel.com). Both change at Club — the branding comes off and you claim an address of your own.
Limits by tier
Every limit below is enforced at the add, before you configure anything — an upgrade never costs you work already done. Capped options stay visible and greyed with the reason shown, rather than disappearing.

- Club ($99/month, or $990/year): card payments and payouts, paid events, unlimited booking sheets, unlimited resources, 5 staff logins, membership types, your own club URL, Papel branding removed
- Pro ($499/month, or $4,990/year): recurring dues, statements and member accounts, campaigns and messaging, public booking (visitors book without signing in), booking waitlists and guest passes, reporting, household billing and balances, up to 3 locations, unlimited resources and staff logins, priority support
- Enterprise (custom pricing): multi-club management, SSO, SLA, dedicated account manager
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a free trial?
There's no trial, because there's no clock to run out. The Free plan is permanent and needs no card. Upgrade when a limit starts costing you something.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes — upgrade at any time from Settings → Billing. Your data carries over untouched.
What happens when I hit a limit?
The action that would exceed it is blocked before you start configuring, and tells you which plan lifts it. Nothing you've already built is affected.
Will I lose my data if I cancel?
Your data is retained per our privacy policy. You can re-activate anytime by adding a card again.
